"Sewage dumping"

You are walking on trails along a stream or river in your town. You approach a forested section of the stream and see a truck that has backed up to the edge of the stream. There is a hose running from the truck to the stream. The printing on the side of the truck reads, "Bob's Sewage."

  Environmental laws
  • What types of contaminants may be entering the stream with the sewage?
  • What is eutrophication?
  • What would you do?
  • Who might you call?
  • What law would the sewage company be violating if they are dumping sewage into the river?
