Wildwood

Has the sand that has eroded from other NJ beaches accumulated in Wildwood? The beach has grown so wide, that a taxi shuttles fatigued beachgoers to and from the water's edge. Three long piers entertain vacationers with amusement rides and games. These piers, which once stood over the ocean, now stand on a sea of sand.

At the waters edge, the keen observer will notice that the shoreline is free of sand trapping groins.
