Bryce Canyon National Park
Ponderosa Point

The American Crow is one of over 160 species of birds observed in Bryce Canyon park each year. The most common large mammal in the park is the mule deer. Their predator, the mountain lion, keep the mule deer population in check. Elk and pronghorn antelope can also be seen in the park. The prairie dog lives only in southwestern Utah and is currently listed as an endangered species. Human development has significantly reduced the habitat available to wildlife in Utah. However, the limited amounts of water in the region keep the area from being completely developed.
