Activity: Fun with the "Rock Cycle"

By now, you probably know that sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks undergo a cycle.  Try out some of these activities to make sense of the ROCK CYCLE.  Please choose 2.

Activity One:  On this site you can choose one of the following three that are offered.

Activity Two:  Create your own Rock cycle chart that describes the processes of how sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks are changed to form a complete cycle. You can print out this diagram to aid you, but you are not limited to it.  (TO PRINT OUT:  Right click on the chart, then left click on View Image.  You should get a separate page with just the image alone.  Then press File, Print. )

Activity Three: Test your identification skills here.  Your objective is to identify the rocks using different types of tests.  Click here to begin!!
