Temperate (or Deciduous) Forests

Did You Know?

  • Deciduous trees turn beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow in autumn before they shed their leaves in winter.
  • Common deciduous trees are the oak, elm, beech, maple, sycamore and chestnut.
  • Broadleaved trees have big, thin-skinned leaves which allow them to absorb maximum sunlight.
