Affiliated with the American Forestry Association. Conducts research on urban forestry and forest ecosystems and plants trees for environmental restoration.
Chesapeake Bay Foundation

Protects and conserved Chesapeake Bay through programs, education and outreach.
Center for Science and Public Interest

Advocates good nutrition, health, and food safety.
Center for Clean Air Policy

Focuses on environmental and energy problems and works to consider both economic and environmental interests in providing solutions.
Coast Allianace

Educates the public about the value of coastal ecosystems and works to protect coastal resources, ecosystems, and habitats.
Defenders of Wildlife

Promotes the preservation of all native wildlife and plants and focuses heavily on preventing extinction of species and loss of biodiversity.
The Land Institute

Supports sustainable agriculture through education and research.
The Nature Conservancy

Buys land and keeps it from being developed to protect the natural habitats of plants and wildlife.
National Marine Fisheries Service

Federal agency responsible for listing the most threatened and endangered marine species.
National Parks Conservation Association

Protects and manages national parks.
National Parks Service (NPS)

Responsible for the care of millions of acres of national parks, monuments, lakeshores, seashores, and other lands where wildlife and their habitat are protected by law.
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture

Works to better agriculture, food safety, and animal health in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (PA DCNR)

Maintains Pennsylvania's state parks and forests. Educates about the state's ecological and geological resources.
Pennsylvania's Integrated Pest Management Program

Promote effective and safe pest control and pest control alternatives through collaboration between the Pennsylvania State University and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
The Sierra Club

Educates public about the environment, protects and explores wild places, and encourage responsible resource use.
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)

Assists farmers with technical, economic, and marketing practices. Responsible for the safety of meat, poultry, and eggs.
U.S. Department of Energy

Promotes development and use of efficient and sustainable energy sources.
U.S. Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)

Protects Pennsylvania's air, land, and water form pollution and provides for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment.

Writes and enforces regulations, conducts research, and monitors pollutants to protect the natural environment and public health.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)

Identifies endangered plants and animals and maintains a list. Conserves, protects, and restores natural habitat.
World Wildlife Fund

Purchases natural land areas to preserve particular species, provides programs to promote the protection of endangered species worldwide.
