Wind Sculpted Hills

Wind can equal or exceed water in erosive force, especially in a dry climate. Sediment is carried by the wind just as it is by water. As the wind sweeps past mountains and cliffs, like the ones below, the particles gorge the standing rock, slowly picking away at the surface. You can see the path of the wind in the patterns on the rock surfaces.
