Pescadero Beach

At Pescadero Beach, you will likely find seasonal sand beaches, rocky cliffs and tidal pools. This area consists of steep sea bluffs and generally stable seacliffs. Near the mouth of Pescadero Creek is a permanent spit that separates tidal lagoons and marshes from the open ocean. The spit and its accompanying dunes give protection from erosion to the nearby coastal Highway 1. The absence of urban development and stability of the cliffs contribute to a lack of coastal hazards in this area.
