The parking lot is protected by riprap, and more of the large rocks
can be seen in the distance at the base of a cliff. Waves have begun
to cut a tunnel out of the weaker parts of the cliff.
The community of Goleta is aware of the rapid erosion threatening the
park. They have formed a working group to develop long term plans along
with science advisors to protect their park.
